Hi! My name is A.J. Bingham. I’m an Austin-based entrepreneur focused on solving problems at the intersection of business and government.
As the Founder and CEO of The Bingham Group, LLC, I’ve provided Austin and Austin Metro lobbying and advocacy services to companies, trade associations, and non-profits.
Austin has been home since age 8, with the previous time spent from birth spent on military bases through my father’s service. I grew up in South Austin (78745) and attended Austin ISD schools graduating from Austin’s top public high school, the LBJ Science Academy (now the Liberal Arts and Science Academy).
I received my B.A. in Political Science from Wake Forest University, and J.D. from Washburn University School of Law (Note: I am not licensed and do not practice law).
When I returned to Austin following law school, I had to objectives: (1) Become a lobbyist; and (2) Be substantively involved in the community, more about that here.
On both fronts I’ve achieved more than I could’ve hoped, but the journey is far from over.
Outside of lobbying I’ve taught MBA level courses on the intersection of business and policy at Austin’s Concordia University Texas (MBA 5220 Business, Society and Public Policy) and Rice University (MGMT 561). I also enjoy public speaking, more about that here.
In my free time I enjoy art collecting, Spartan Races, and track driving (the (Porsche 911), and related travel for all those.
